Copenhagen Airport - Nudging

Copenhagen Airport

New passport rules for the Schengen Area would potentially create big problems for Copenhagen Airports… hours of queuing, missed departures and connecting flights, tons of unclaimed luggage and cancelled flights.

Using nudging principles, the area in front of passport control was divided into three zones that ensured all passengers had their passport ready the second they reached passport control.

The results were conclusive. The waiting time in peak hours was reduced by 18% and 100% of all travellers had their passport ready at passport control.
