Royal Copenhagen

The Royal Copenhagen Blue Fluted Plain pattern has been the hallmark of the company for 240 years. To celebrate the anniversary, and to salute the many skilled hand painters who mastered this beautiful pattern, Royal Copenhagen invited four Danish artists to interpret both the pattern and the blue colour freely.

Each artist made their one-of-a-kind art piece: their unique and personal tribute to 240 years of pattern no. 1. The project resulted in four different campaign sites and an art paper – one for each artist’s art project.
